TAIRONA Butterfly Pendant
Metal Pewter - Nickel free
Metal Finish 24 karat matt Gold Plated

A delightful golden butterfly pendant. The original Pre-Columbian piece was cast as a nose ornament 900AD- 1600AD and is reminiscent of the butterflies that inhabit the Sierra Nevada. The significance is unknown but possibly to do with the transformation the a butterfly undergoes. Possibly they understood the sustainability of nature through pollination as they understood it with the sun.
