A beautiful stunning necklace adorned with gold pieces and Sodalite gemstones. Depicting the small circular Lake Guatavita with its blue water and surrounding green foliage.
Guatavita, a mystic, peaceful and perfect circle of water in Colombia believed to be the origin of the legend of El Dorado. It was a sacred place to the indigenous Muisca people. Golden treasures were thrown into the water as a symbol of adoration to their gods.
This particular neck design was inspired by the passion flower bead necklace, Palmira Cauca Valley 200BC-200AD. See attached images
