A striking and engaging necklace adorned with intricately carved gold spiral pieces and onyx gemstones. The spiral design was used extensively throughout the Pre-Columbian period and was inspired by sea and land snails. The spiral is often related symbolically to the evolution of time.
The Pre-Columbian communities must have significantly valued the snails and their shells at the time as their shapes were often cast in gold.
